Welcome!

This church is a place to know and experience God, to explore spirituality, wrestle with difficult questions, to create community with others who desire to follow the ways of Jesus, and to act on issues of justice and compassion.

This church family is known for progressive theology, incredible music, a multitude of outreach programs, great food and fellowship. We have strong commitments to social justice and environmental justice. Recognizing that Jesus modeled the realm of God, we work together for a realm of love and justice, hope and peace. We take seriously Jesus’ commandment to “love your neighbor as yourself.”

First Congregational United Church of Christ celebrates religious freedom—the freedom and responsibility to engage the Bible with our own unique experiences, questions and ideas. This is a place where all are welcome to participate in a journey of faith.

The Rev. Leslie Moughty, Pastor

This congregation is Open and Affirming (ONA), a designation for churches in the United Church of Christ

that have adopted a public covenant that welcomes LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning and more!) people fully into the church’s life and ministry.

With other United Church of Christ congregations, we share an extravagantly inclusive faith perspective

where all are welcome as God’s beloved people.

No matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here!

We are a joyful, progressive, Christian community who embraces diversity in all its many forms
and who seeks to know and share God's love within us.
